ECOO-SIGELEM is a sub-group of the Educational Computing Organization of Ontario. This is an organization formed by elementary school educators to promote the integration of technology into classroom curriculum and to facilitate the exchange of ideas between teachers.

During the past few years, SIGELEM has represented the interests of elementary school teachers in Ontario through the organization of numerous conferences, articles in ECOO's OutPut magazine, meetings with Ministry of Education and Training officials, and a presentation to the Royal Commission on Learning.
