Joland Remarkable Bay
(The Corsican Bay x Saralin's Markessa)

Bay Mare - Foaled 2001

This remarkable mare is a real beauty! Like her dam, "Kasey," Markie has become an elegant show horse. An In Hand Champion, and now a Performance Champion. She was driven lightly as a three year old and shown under saddle as a four year old where she really shines. She is expressive, light in the bridle and has a tremoundously lofty canter.

Markie also enjoys her time out on the trails. It is an awesome sight to see this mare trotting around the big hay fields with her head held high and her tail cascading in a natural breakover.

Cyan Star Grand Marquis
(The Corsican Bay x Saralin's Markessa)

Bay Gelding - Foaled 2002

"Rex" is a full brother to Markie, we liked the cross so much, we did it again! 2005 was a banner year for this young gelding claiming In Hand titles and watching his driving career flourish in the junior horse ranks and junior exhibitor classes. He is sensible enough for a jr. exhibitor driver and plenty of horse for an amateur to enjoy too! He is also undefeated as a ladies pleasure driving horse in 2006.

Rex is also a fabulous trail horse, often taking the lead in a very relaxed manner. He has pulled the cutter around the fields and seems to enjoy his time in harness. He is now lightly broke to saddle and has even done a couple of equitation classes!

Saralin's Markessa
(Troutbrook Hallmark x Saralin's Desiree)

Bay Mare - Foaled 1987

"Kasey" is a treasure. She has been an extraordinary show horse for the family since her purchase in 1988 and has matured into the role of broodmare, teacher and a fabulous equitation mount for her young riders.

Taking the In Hand world by storm as a young horse, then becoming the ulimate english pleasure horse particularly for a lady and a junior exhibitor, this mare has been invaluable to us. She then turned her attention to equitation and can lay down a perfect pattern anywhere, anytime.

She has given us two wonderful gifts, her daughter "Markie" and son "Rex." They will carry on her legacy. She has been bred to Up Hyre Advantage for a 2007 foal. We anxiously await this next gift.

Cyan Star County Cork
(The Corsican Bay x Doc's Dolly)

Bay Filly - Foaled 2005

Our newest addition to the farm, "Courtney" is as nice as they come. We leased "Dolly" to breed specifically to The Corsican Bay as we are ardent admiriers of "Cork"! She is beautifully put together, a feminine head, neck set on top her withers, short back and a lovely rear end with an effortless, floaty trot.

Courtney's show career debuted at the 2006 OMHC Classic. She dominated the yearling filly, Canadian Bred and futurity classes. She was the talk of the show!

Hip Heath Avalon
(Courage Of Equinox x Hip Heath Ulla)

Bay Gelding - Foaled 1984

"Frankie" once a powerful pleasure driving and english pleasure horse has gracefully slowed down over the years. He became an envied equitation mount rivaling and beating his saddlebred competitiors. He then moved into the Classic ranks, where he once again dominated in the harness division aswell as the junior exhibitor driving classes.

He has been semi-retired, but is called upon to teach new students to the art of saddle seat riding where he is a favorite mount because of his awesome canter! You won't find a more comfortable canter on any horse.... he is also a treat to ride in steady hand classes!

Joland Ovation
(Saddleback Sensation x Acoma Morningstar)

Chestnut Gelding - Foaled 1984

"OV" is the sentimental favorite in the barn. He was the first horse bred by our family. This horse has seen and done it all. OV enjoyed a sensational In Hand career as a young stallion and also did well as a young park saddle horse. His career shifted into the hunter/jumper ranks where his style over fences was impeccable. He eventually became the ideal western horse as he aged as his jog was effortless and smooth, his head carriage was so natural and he remained light in the mouth.

He is my beginner starter horse for lessons and is loved by quite a few ten year olds! He tolerates all the excessive attention during grooming and has the patience to walk around the ring all day carrying his students. He is priceless.

(Applevale Challenger x Flair's Allenda Rose)

March 14, 1977 - May 9th, 2006

Chestnut Mare

"Star" holds a special place in the hearts of all who meet her, but none more then mine. This beautiful mare has been part of the family since 1980 and helped shape the future of our farm. She has been our foundation. She succumbed to colic at the age of 29. We miss her terribly.

She was a competitive show horse with an amazing trot and vivacious canter while not being particularly fond of walking. She wasn't a big mare, but you would never know it while you were riding her! And she had a heart to match all that zest for life. She was not a quitter even surviving colic surgery at the age 22.

Star gave us four foals who have all enjoyed wonderful careers for their owners. Star was the heart and soul of Cyan Star Morgans.
