The Frosty Frolic is a series of two combined time sled dog races:

bullet8 dog - 45 mile Mid-Distance Race on Saturday
bullet8 dog - 25 mile Mid-Distance Race on Sunday

A team of amateurs from area clubs get together under the guidance of Joe VE3VGJ and provide emergency communications for the event.  Joe has got this down to a science and us radio amateurs have come in handy when teams have become lost on the trail.
